GREENING THE WAY FORWARD: SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE AND SYSTEMS

AIIT is pleased to launch the calls for applications for the “Best Young Researcher”  and “Best paper in Sustainability” Awards at TIS ROMA 2024.

“Best Young Researcher”  Awards

The “Best Young Research” Awards are in memory of Eng. Lucio Quaglia, AIIT Past Honorary President, and Prof. Francesco Saverio Capaldo, AIIT Member and Past President of AIIT Campania and Molise.

The call is open to young participants (<=30 years old and/or students or PhD students at the date of the conference) that are both co-authors and presenters of a paper at the upcoming TIS ROMA 2024 conference. Both remote and in presence participants can apply for the awards. Two prizes will be assigned, one for the best paper related to the area “Transport Systems” and one for the best paper related to the area “Transport Infrastructure”.

TIS 2024 “Best Young Research” Awards

The deadline for applications is Monday 2nd September, 2024.

Both the paper and the presentation will be judged by an expert committee and the prizes will be awarded at the closing ceremony that will take place at the end of the conference. We kindly ask you to upload the presentation on the EasyChair platform as soon as possible, and no later than Monday 2nd September, 2024.

“Best Paper in Sustainability”  Award

 

The call for the “Best Paper in Sustainability”  Award is open to all papers related to sustainability that will be presented (in presence or remotely) at the upcoming TIS ROMA 2024 conference. The authors should clearly demonstrate how the paper makes an impact on Transport Systems and/or Infrastructure Sustainability.

The awarded paper will be offered an APC waiver for submission in the new Nature Journal npj “Sustainable Mobility and Transport”, which considers research focused on the transition from current mobility systems towards more inclusive and sustainable transport and mobility solutions. Research published in the journal is related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, in particular 3, 9, and 11. The paper needs to be in line with the aim and scopes of the Journal (npj “Sustainable Mobility and Transport”) and would need to be reviewed again before considering it publishable.
